Nine Kinds of Flowers
Grand performance
On Wednesday 25 June 2025, the Jaro Dance Group presented its spring performance Nine Kinds of Flowers in the Great Hall of the Municipal Library of Prague. Dancers of all generations – from five-year-old children to adults – brought meadow games, spring carols, carnival merry-making, a lyrical lovers’ duet and grand circle dances, accompanied live by the Jara Band.
The highlight of the evening was the Czech Wedding, a suite that guides the audience through the stages of a traditional village wedding: the courtship, the farewell, the procession, the reel, the roosters, the bonneting, the hen dance and the send-off.
